In the ever-evolving landscape of Pakistani cinema, the recently released film John has embarked on its journey with a modest start at the domestic box office. This type of performance was expected, but the box office figures are not as low as some analysts predicted.
Pakistani Movie John Box Office Collection
According to our correspondent in Pakistan, the movie John is performing as expected, garnering a modest collection of PKR 0.47 Crore at the domestic box office. The film has managed to maintain a show occupancy rate of approximately 11%.
Comparatively, this year has not been as good for Pakistani movies as the previous year, 2022. Fawad Khan’s Money Back Guarantee also had a modest performance and earned approximately 37 Crore despite high expectations. Furthermore, Mehwish Hayyat’s Teri Meri Kahaniyaan faced significant competition from the release of Gippy Grewal’s Carry on Jatta 3, which outperformed it mainly in the Punjab Region.
However, there is no information available on whether the Pakistani movie John will be released internationally. The movie may be released internationally at a later date.
The Pakistani movie Jhon is directed and written by Babar Ali and produced by Faiza Khanum under the banner of Vaasil Productions. The movie was released on July 14, 2023. The film stars Aashir Wajahat, Romaisa Khan, Saleem Mairaj, and Raza Samo in lead roles, with many others in supporting roles.
Some box office analysts predict that the movie’s lifetime box office collection will be between PKR 10 Crore to PKR 15 Crore.
