Haunted Mansion (2023) Underperforms in Previews!

Haunted Mansion (2023) is going to hit screens today, 18 July 2023. The movie is a sequel to the Horror-Comedy movie “The Haunted Mansion.”
The 2023 film Haunted Mansion earned only $3.1 million in Thursday previews at the box office. This is almost 3.5 times less than the preview earnings of the Oppenheimer movie and almost seven times less than the preview earnings of the Barbie movie. Recently, The Barbie film grossed $22.5 million in preview screenings, while Oppenheimer’s movie earned $10.3 million in preview screenings.
Apart from giving a tough time in movie previews, Barbie and Oppenheimer are expected to give a tough time to the Haunted Mansion movie. According to Variety, Haunted Mansion (2023) is projected to gross between $25 million and $30 million in its domestic box office debut.
The film Haunted Mansion (2023) had a production budget of $150 million, which is almost double the budget of its 2003 predecessor, The Haunted Mansion.
The Haunted Mansion (2003) performed admirably at the box office, grossing $75.8 million domestically and $182.2 million worldwide.
The Haunted Mansion movie stars LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Jamie Lee Curtis, Owen Wilson, Rosario Dawson, Dan Levy, Danny DeVito, and others. This movie is directed by Justin Simien and released under the banners of Walt Disney Pictures and Rideback.
As audiences brace themselves for this eerie adventure, all eyes are on the box office to see if “Haunted Mansion” can cast its spell and carve its own success story.
